One black and white photograph of a group of American Red Cross volunteers who are sewing sheets and linens. The female volunteers are all wearing Red Cross uniforms and are seated in a large workroom at long tables or at sewing machines. Presumably, the finished items were intended for use in U.S. Army hospitals and/or for civilian relief efforts in Europe during World War I.
