One black and white photograph of a group of American Red Cross volunteers who are helping members of the public prepare packages for mailing. The female volunteers are all wearing uniforms and are standing behind a long desk. Each of their uniform caps has large text across the front that reads "Inspection." Several women and a child are standing in front of the desk and are completing package address labels or presenting items to be shipped. Presumably, the items being shipped were for U.S. servicemen and/or for civilian relief efforts in Europe during World War I.
