One sepia-toned photograph (and one 11" x 14" black and white copy) of students at Children's House, an art center for children in Detroit. The photograph shows students standing around a table and creating masks and a helmet with papier-maché. Two boys at the left side of the photo are creating a mask, and a girl at the right is making a helmet. The boy standing beside the girl is smiling faintly as he watches the boys making masks. In the background, completed masks and paintings are hanging on the wall. Handwritten pencil text on the verso of the original states, "just groups." Handwritten text on the verso of the copy states, "mask making."
