One black and white photograph (and one 11" x 14" sepia-toned copy) of students at Children's House, an art center for children in Detroit. The photograph shows two girls in the foreground who are painting while standing on opposite sides of a double-sided easel. Both girls have metal paint trays and containers on their easel shelves. Two other students are working at similar easels in the background. Handwritten pencil text on the verso of the copy reads, "4 year olds from settlement houses."
