One black and white reproduction photograph of a section of Five Mile Road in Wayne County, Michigan. The photo shows a view along a flat section of gravel road. A set of uneven, narrow gauge railroad tracks and a long pile of gravel can be seen along the left side of the road. Also, overhead wires are running along a utility pole line to the left of the gravel pile. A driver with a team of horses and a wagon are faintly visible on the right side of the road and may be doing ditch construction or regrading. Several farmhouses, barns, and outbuildings are visible in the far background. A white label in the lower right corner has black typewritten text that reads "Board of Wayne County Commissioners, Five Mile Road. No. 24, Date: 4-13-23." A black ink stamp on the verso reads "0817, 256, Wayne Historical Museum, 1 Town Square, Hours 1-4 p.m., Fri & Sat, (734) 722-0113."
