Black and white photograph showing a view of Wayne State University and the surrounding area in 1958. The photograph was taken from Webster Hall, at the corner of Cass Avenue and Putnam Street with a view to the northwest. Visible Wayne State University buildings include State Hall at left, the General Library in the center, and the McGregor Memorial Conference Center in the background to the right. The southwest corner of the Detroit Public Library is on the right side of the photo. A stamp on the version reads "TAYLOR Date MAR 14 1958 City Plan Commission."
