One color photograph of an old fire truck that is parked on a lawn area on the Kern Block (site of the former Kern's department store) in downtown Detroit. A young woman, who is a publicity spokesperson for Downtown Detroit Days, is seated on the lawn in the foreground and is wearing a read sweater with a white letter "D," on the front. A member of the Red Garter Band is standing behind her and is playing a trumpet. White text on the side of the truck reads "Red Garter, 1246 Library (Behind Hudson's) Downtown Detroit." The Gratiot Avenue side of Hudson's department store can be seen in the left background. Handwritten blue ink text on the verso reads "D-D-Days - Fall, '68."
