The view looks northward on the east side of Woodward Avenue and shows many shoppers who are walking along the sidewalk adjacent to the Kern Block (site of the former Kern's department store). Two shoppers are carrying long baguettes. Downtown retail stores can be seen in the left background and a lightpole with a "DDD [Downtown Detroit Days]" banner is visible in the center background. A corner of the Hudson's department store building is visible in the right background. Handwritten blue ink text on the verso reads "D-D-Days - Spring '69."
