Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring fabrics available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Floral-patterned fabric is draped in the window; also, a mannequin dressed in a floral day-dress is featured wearing a hat, and has a handbag and fur draped over her shoulder. Dress making books from McCall are featured over her shoulder in the background. Signage displayed amongst the draped fabric reads, "Plan to Attend the McCall Sewing Instruction Lectures, Beginning Monday, February 8, in Hudson's 12th Floor Auditorium, A Series of Six Complimentary Lessons at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Daily. Prepared and Presented by Lucille Rivers of the McCall Sewing Corps." Also, signage in the central foreground of the display reads, "Refreshing as Spring, Look Your Prettiest - In a Dress You Made Yourself, Mastercraft Rayon, Sheer Prints, $1.59 / yard, Flattering Monotones, Made to McCall Pattern *5099." Affixed in the bottom of the window is signage which reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds." The photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "18759-4x."
