Mounted Black and white print of a photographic bust-length portrait of Charles E. Duryea. The photo is signed by Duryea with the inscription," To A.O. Dunks / 1906 / C.E.D." On the cardstock under the print, a printed sticker label reads: "First to make a modern gasoline car / in America. Begun Aug, 1891; tested / Apr, 19, 1892, tuned and finisht that / fall. His cars won first U S contests / first British run and first used air / tires and other moden essentials." In Duryea's handwritting on another sticker below the photograph, "For historic truth, Chas. E. Duryea."
