One black and white framed photograph (and one unframed copy) that shows an image of a message board on an office wall in the Michigan Central Railroad station in Detroit. The view shows a row of ten groups of typewritten messages that are hanging from metal clips. The messages are organized by subject groups which are identified by overhead signs as follows (left to right): "West Division, Middle Division, Detroit Division, Safety First, C.S. Division, Gen. Official Notices, Aud. Pass. Accounts, Gen. Bag. Agent, Lost Transportation, Crews Instructions and Orders." Five open ledger books are resting on a shelf beneath the messages. Windows and three lightbulbs can be seen in the upper background. The photo is mounted on a white matte board.
