One black and white framed photograph (and one unframed copy) that shows an image of the covered track platforms on the south side of the Michigan Central Railroad station in Detroit. The view looks along the platform for tracks 8 and 9. Steel truss support columns for the roof can be seen down the center of the platform and also along adjacent platforms. Also visible are narrow gaps between the platform roofs which allow daylight to enter the track area and also provide ventilation as well as an escape route for locomotive exhaust. The photo is held in a white matte board frame. A black ink stamp on the verso has text that reads "Photograph by Robert W. Cleveland."
