WING heading up the Detroit River, past the Ambassador Bridge, and toward its new mooring location on Belle Isle, after restoration; the three-mast schooner is being assisted by a tug boat on its rear starboard side. The photograph, taken from an adjacent boat on the Detroit River, views the J.T. Wing's starboard side and ornamentation of maritime flags on the rigging. Participants are visible on the main deck from bow to stern. "Detroit Free Press, July 24th, 1948," is handwritten on the verso.
