One sepia-toned cabinet card photograph that depicts an image of a family standing in front of an old unfinished wood frame house, with the address number 622. The view shows an unfinished wood rail fence in the lower foreground with the house visible in the background. A middle-aged man in work clothes is standing at the corner of the house at the left side of the image. A young girl and an older woman are standing on an uncovered porch at the center and right side of the image. At the left side of the porch, four pots with flowering plants can be seen on a wood plank which resting on top of a wood barrel. A rooster is standing on one end of the plank. Another house and outbuilding are partially visible in the far background at the left side of the image. The rural character of the houses indicates that they were probably located somewhere along the outer edges of the city. The photo is mounted on a tan matte board frame which has decorative embossed designs near the edges. Black printed text near one edge of the frame reads "Buckeye View Co." and "Detroit, Mich."
