The elevated view looks northeastward from the top of the Dime Building and shows a busy intersection in the lower foreground with Woodward Avenue running diagonally near the lower edge of the photo. Monroe Avenue is visible in the center background and Cadillac Square is visible at the right edge of the photo. The Palmer Fountain can be seen in a triangular-shaped park near the lower left corner of the photo. The Soldiers and Sailors Monument can be seen near the lower right corner. Handwritten pencil text on the verso reads "From top of Dime Bldg. looking down on Cadillac Sq., 1919."
