Downtown Detroit office/commercial buildings can be seen along Witherell Street and Woodward Avenue just beyond the trees. The 18-story David Whitney Building, located at the southwest corner of Woodward and Park Avenues, can be seen near the right edge of the photo. Handwritten pencil text on the verso reads "From window of YMCA, 1919."
