Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display advertising wool fabrics available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A mannequin dressed in a double-breasted suit, stands adjacent to a display noting the finer facts about wool, including that it is, "Drapable, Insulated, and Absorbent." Two different shades of wool are draped in the background, and a dress form displays a suit coat, tie, shirt, fedora and shoes in the right foreground of the window. In the foreground is a display noting how wool is produced from raw materials. Signage in the right-central foreground reads, "Seven Summer Fibers for Cool Clothing Comfort! Wool, The Porous Resilient Fiber, Drapes handsomely, wrinkles fall out easily, retains smartness, Men's Store, 2nd Floor, Woodward… Section E." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "5-22-53; 25691-3x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
