One black and white photograph of a sketch that depicts LaSalle's ship, "Le Grffon," under construction near Niagara Falls in the spring/summer of 1679. Several workman can be seen on deck and on the ground beside the hull. Three Indians are seated on the ground in the lower right corner of the image. A dense forest can be seen in the background. The artist's name is not readable. A black ink stamp on the verso shows "Please Credit Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio 43403."
