Children and their parents are seated along the far wall awaiting their turn to receive a haircut. Children are seated in barber chairs made to look like circus animals and the circus tent. Standing beside the children in the barber chairs are Hudson's barbers, all wearing white dress shirts and bowties. The ceiling of the barber shop is painted to appear like a circus tent, and illuminated lamps are adorned with circus animals. Stamped on the verso is the name and geographic location of the photographer, "Smith Brother Commercial Photographers, Arcadia Bldg., Woodward & Stimson, Detroit, - Mich."
