Vanity tables, including chairs and large mirrors are featured throughout the department; placed atop each table is a hand-held mirror for the woman trying on her new hat. Cloche hats, in varying colors, are displayed in cases surrounding the perimeter of the department. The name of the photography studio and geographic location are stamped on the verso, "Smith Brothers, Commercial Photographers, Arcadia Bldg., Woodward & Stimson, Detroit, Mich."
