Print. Sepia-toned photographic print of an interior home furnishings display at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A master bedroom furnishings display features a double bed draped in a plaid bedspread, with a simple head and foot board. The room also features a floral chaise lounge at the end of the bed, and two upholstered chairs; end tables flank the bed and feature illuminated lamps. A small breakfast table is visible in front of the chaise and features dishware for breakfast and a small budvase. Framed artwork is affixed to the wall above the bead, and adjacent to the window which features drapes adored with large bows. The photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "4929-1." Also, the date, name of the photography studio and their geographic location are stamped on the verso, "Oct. 19, 1939; Bowen Studios, Detroit."
