One black and white photograph of a railroad bridge under repair on the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal. The photo shows four barges and two cranes making repairs and new steel support pilings are visible beneath the railroad tracks in the center area of the photo. A B&O engine and cars are moving overhead along the tracks. Dismantled bridge truss members can be seen on the barge in the background and on the shore at the far right. Printed text in the lower right corner of the photo shows "Emergency Salvage & Replacement of West Span, B.&O. R.R. Bridge 32793D, Chicago Sanitary Ship Canal, Argo, Ill., W.O. FC-346. July 6, 1964." A red ink stamp on the verso shows "Calumet Studio, Arthur P. Stalla, SO 8-1951, Reorder No. FS6465, Jul. 6, 1964."
