One black and white photograph showing a Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company hydraulic (suction) dredge at work on the lower Detroit River. The photo shows the dredge removing earth from the waterway and discharging it via a floating pipeline that ends in a spoils area in the lower left corner of the photo. A lighthouse, the Livingston Channel Upper Light, is visible to the left of the dredge.
