Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring back to school fashions and shoes available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A young boy and young teen female mannequins are dressed in the latest back to school fashions, and both are adorned in the latest shoes. Series of young girl and boy shoes are displayed throughout the window. Three puppets are displayed with the shoes, and are also ready for school. Signage affixed to the rear of the display reads, "Back to School, Sturdy Footwear Strides to the Head of the Class, Children's Shoes, Fourth Floor, Grand River." Also, signage affixed in the foreground of the display reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds, Immediate Delivery, WAR BONDS, 11th Floor, Woodward, Section D." The date, and the photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "8-10-45; 22169-3x."
