Black and white photo taken of a World War II-era saving bond campaign display within the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A curved wall covered with portrait photos of uniformed members of the Armed Services is set up behind a railing. A pillar decorated with stars, and holding a statue of an eagle at its top is at the center of the curve. In front of the pillar a sign is displayed, which reads, "870 Hudsonians[...] At Home and Abroad. We are Proud to Salute Them with this display of their pictures, names and ranks. Everyone on the home front is pledged to buy as many War Savings Bonds as possible[...]" A relief statue of the Prop and Wings insignia of the U.S. Army Air Corps is displayed standing on the floor of the left side of the display, and the Great Seal of the United States is on the right. Behind the wall of photos, illustrations of women doing wartime jobs are on the wall in the background. "7-16-43" and "18854-6X" are printed in the lower right corner of the photo.
