Print, Photographic

1 - Photographic print showing a smiling boy who is being fitted for a new plaid suit and is standing in front of a 3-way mirror. A tag on the suit coat arm reads "S.L. Bird & Sons". A tailor, with a tape measure around his neck, is crouched beside the boy and is adjusting the length of the boy's pant leg. The man is wearing a dark pinstriped suit and tie.

A card taped the verso reads: "First Longies Eugene Lubin, 7, of 15436 Appoline, overcome with pride and excitement as tailor John Trolio fitted him to his first pair of long trousers. Eugene even had the postwar cuffs. Detroit Times Photo
