Print, Photographic

One sepia-toned fake photograph of Winston Churchill practicing taking sextant sights with four merchant marine officers and one civilian bystander. Winston Churchill is standing at the far left and Morgan L. Howell is standing second from left. The other persons are not identified. Five of the men are wearing merchant marine officer's uniforms and are wearing long overcoats. One man is wearing civilian clothing - a business suit and long overcoat. The men are standing on the roof of a tall building in a downtown area and are taking sextant sights of the sun. The man at the center of the photo is looking downward and may be calling out the time since this would be necessary in order to correctly reduce the sextant readings. Handwritten text on the verso shows "Morgan standing next to Winston Churchill in March, 1942 (Not true). This is a fake picture."
