Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display advertising back-to-school at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A large tree with hanging apples ornaments the display, which features several mannequins, boys and girls whom are dressed in the latest school fashions. A cowardly lion is visible on the right side of the window. Signage in the right central foreground reads, "Hudson's and DuPont Present: The Neat Generation, go back to school sporting the French schoolgirl look molded in new easy care fabrics, Hudson's Boys' Second Floor, Boys' and Girls' 4th Floor." Also, signage on the right side of the window in front of the lion and a young girl reads, "See the Wizard of Oz, A live production with a Broadway cast, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 27, 28, and 29, 11:30 am, 1:30 and 3:30 pm, Hudson's Auditorium, 12th Floor."
