Print. Black and white photographic print of an exterior view of the façade of The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store, located on Woodward Avenue. The façade is ornamented with large pieces of fabric, as well as a large sculpture of a woman holding a torch entitled, "Progress." Signage below the sculpture reads, "Hudson's Fifty-Fifth Anniversary." Pedestrians are visible walking along the sidewalk adjacent to the thoroughfare. The photographic sequence number, and the photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "17535; Davis B. Hillmer."
