Print. Black and white photographic print of an interior display featuring The Cavalcade of Fashion at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A male and female mannequin are affixed atop a birthday greeting card display. A celebratory flag hangs in the upper right background and reads, "Detroit's 250th Anniversary, 1701-1951, Hudson's 70th Year, 1881-1951." The mannequins are adorned in eighteenth century fashions, signage in front of the male reads, "Fabulous fashions in highly embellished brocades and velvets, highlighted the era of Louis SV. The notability of France reveled in courtly balls and receptions while in the distant outpost of Detroit, a new city was being established."
