Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring men's outer wear available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A series of mannequins are adorned in differing styles and colors of long trench coats. Other are draped in the display and accompanied by fedoras. A large, circular mural of gray clouds hovering over the outline of a city's skyline is affixed to the rear of the display. Rain is simulated in the display via the utilization of wire affixed diagonally from the ceiling to the floor. Signage in the left-central background reads, "Shelters For College Men, A New Line of British-Like Stormy Weather Coats - to fit all sorts of needs, whether for sports, campus or town wear, Second Floor - Woodward, The J.L. Hudson Co." The photographic sequence number, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "17696; Davis B. Hillmer."
