Photograph. Sepia-toned glossy photo showing an early motorized fire department truck with dual rear wheels that is towing a steam-powered pumper wagon. (The steam-powered pumper was previously drawn by horses.) Two firemen are seated on the truck which shows "M.F.D. No. 2." on the hood. Possibly, this might indicate Macomb Fire Department or Mt. Clemens Fire Department. The photo shows several large buildings in the background which might be located in downtown Mt. Clemens. Many spectators are also visible in the background and several children can be seen at the far right side of the image. Handwriting on the verso shows "Early Motorized Tractor Demonstration" and a black ink stamp shows "L. B. Van Vliet & Co. Commercial Photographers, Whittier 1579, 7909 Mack Avenue, Detroit, Mich."
