Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring men's suiting available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two mannequin busts feature patterned men's suit coats complete with vests, neckties, and dress shirts, accompanied by trousers, argyle socks, and a patterned woven belt. Neighboring the mannequins on the right side of the window is a suit coat displayed with a series of optional neckties, and cufflink options. A piece of plaid fabric is visible in the right foreground. Signage and fabric swatches are affixed to the rear of the display and reads, "Compound Colors with the Nubby Touch." Also, signage in the central foreground reads, "Compound Colors with the Nubby Touch, take your cue from the annual Autumn colorama, wear the clothes you've wanted to wear for years! Men's Store, 2nd Floor, Woodward… Section E." The photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "25743-2x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." The date is hand-written on the verso, "Oct. 1953."
