Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring men's sportswear, available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A male mannequin stands on the left side of the window display adorned in the latest casual dress; he appears to be holding two similar styles of shirt. Differing patterns of Arrow Sportshirts are featured throughout the display. Accompanying the shirts is a small display of neckwear, which is visible in the right foreground, with signage which reads, "Smart Arrow All-Silk Ties, $2.50." A large mural of a giraffe, monkey, dog and birds is displayed in the background, and reads, "Arrow Style and Color Show." Also, signage on the left side of the display, neighboring the mannequin reads, "Be comfortably, smartly at ease in popular, Arrow Sportshirts, colors galore, a host of styles to choose from, you name it! … You'll find it! In our large selections. Men's Store, First Floor… Grand River… Section A." The photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "25750-4x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." The date is hand-written on the recto, "Nov. 1953."
