Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring men's rainwear, available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two male mannequins are featured on the right side of the display adorned in differing styles of trench coats, and fedoras; the gentleman on the right is looking down at the dog, and holding a pair of sunglasses in his hand; while the gentleman on the left is holding a leash for the bull dog clad in a plaid dog jacket. Other styles of men's trench coats are featured as well as dress shirts and neckties. An over-sized drawing of an automobile is affixed to the rear of the display, and automobile tiles are visible in the center. Signage adjacent to the tires reads, "U.S. Royal Master, new nylon tubeless tires in Coloramic Styling, Give a final touch of glamour to your car… It's enduring beauty remains unblemished through rain, snow, sleet." Also, signage in the central foreground reads, "You'll welcome April shower in Rainwear from Hudson's, not even a cloudburst phases the rainy-day togs for Pop, for Junior, showers won't bother your bowser, either, Men's Store_2nd Floor, Boys' Store_2nd Floor, Farmer.. Sections B-C, Dog Shop_2nd Floor, Grand River… Section A." The photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "26051-x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." Also, the photographer's name, geographic location and telephone number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "Davis B.
