Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features children and teen books available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Decorative shelving on the left and right sides of the window display feature many different book titles including, "Shanghai Passage, Under the Lilacs, Major and the Kittens, Rabbit Hill, and The Sleepy Quilt." A storybook diorama affixed to the rear of the display features the Cinderella story. Three dolls in the central foreground are gathered around a sign which reads, "Books, Bound for Christmas Pleasure, for Tots to Teens." The date, photographic sequence number, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "12-18-46; 22709-8x; Davis B. Hillmer."
