Print. Sepia-toned photographic print of an interior view of the Women's Department at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Displays featuring athletic and sport sweaters for men and women are presented and include images of men and women wearing the sweaters while participating in athletic events. The glass display in the central foreground includes raw materials which are used to create the sweaters. Signage affixed to the top of the display, from left to right reads, "Imperial Knitting Co., Wool from Sheep's Back top Sweater; Salem Rubber Co." The photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "4836H." Stamped on the verso is the photographer's name, address and telephone number, "Davis B. Hillmer Commercial Photographer, 453 Canfield Ave. W., Detroit, Phone Glen. 3264."
