Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies evening gown fashions available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Six female mannequins are featured throughout the window and each is adorned in a differing style of evening gown; all gowns are full-length and some are heavily embellished, and feature short or long sleeves, another features a rushed bodice and spaghetti straps. The seated mannequin is featured with a fur stole wrapped around her lower back. A male mannequin stands next to the seated lady, dressed in a tuxedo and tails. A city skyline is visible in the rear of the display. Spiral-style signage is visible in the left foreground and reads, "Wardrobes for the American Way of Living." Also, signage visible in the central-right foreground reads, "Glamorous Gowns and Wraps, For Formal Occasions… Gown Shop, Sixth Floor, Woodward."
