Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of a window display which features patterned Everlast fabrics and ladies Butterick dress patterns available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin stands dressed in a patterned knee-length dress with three-quarter length sleeves, and white lace-up heeled shoes, she has a handbag clutched between her hip and forearm. A large piece of fabric hangs in the rear of the display and is the same pattern as the mannequin's dress. Butterick pattern books are displayed on the right side of the display. Signage in the central foreground reads, "Cool and Smart, Rayon Shantone, By Everfast At Hudson's, $1.69 yard, 39 Inches Wide, Choose Gay Prints to Make Your Own, Third Floor, Woodward." Also, signage displayed across the foreground of the window reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds, Immediate Delivery, WAR BONDS, 11th Floor, Woodward, Section D." The photographic sequence number, date, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "18848-12x; 6-28-43; Davis B. Hillmer."
