Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features ladies spring fashion fabrics available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin stands in the middle of the display adorned in a checkerboard pattered knee-length day dress. The lady appears to be putting on a pair of gloves, and is also wearing sunglasses. Dressmaking books and patterns accompany the mannequin; small signage displayed at the mannequin's feet reads, "Dress Made from Vogue Pattern Number 5004." Also, the checkerboard patterned fabric is draped throughout the display. Signage in the central foreground reads, "Check, Window Pane by Everfast, Ideal fabric for Spring Sewing, Cotton Poplin, 36 Inches Wide, $1.00 yard, ___ Woodward." The date, photographic sequence number, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "3-17-44; 18916; Davis B. Hillmer."
