Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features ladies sportswear, 'For the Gal with a Job,' available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin is seated at a desk in the middle of the display, and she is wearing a casual top, and skirt adorned with an embellished belt. Four other female mannequins stand on either side of the seated mannequin and each of these ladies are also wearing knee-length skirts, short and long sleeved blouses, as well as button down cardigans. An image depicting an office is featured on the rear wall and reads, "For the Girl with a Job." Also, an enlarged cover of 'Glamour' magazine is featured on the right side of the display, and reads, "Career Issue: Fall Shopping, September, 1946." Signage in the central foreground reads, "Top Variety, Fashions with Eye-Appeal, Sports Apparel, Fifth Floor." The date, photographic sequence number, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "9-17-46; 22559-5x; Davis B. Hillmer."
