Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies casual daywear available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins stand in knee-length dresses on opposing sides of a stepped ornamental piece; the left mannequin is wearing a long sleeve dress, with a notched lapel, button down front, belted waist, and three quarter length sleeve. Right of the ornamental piece, the mannequin is adored in a drop waist dress with pleating on the skirt, and three quarter length sleeves. Affixed to the rear of the display is an enlarged cover of 'Glamour' magazine which reads, "Career Issue, Fall Shopping, September 1946." Also, signage in the front of the display reads, "The Wonders of Wool Jersey, Seen in the Pullover Dress, the Gaily Detailed Button Fronter, Casual Shop, Sixth Floor, Farmer." The date, photographic sequence number, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "9-19-46; 22559-7x; Davis B. Hillmer."
