Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies casual daywear available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Three female mannequins stand around a stepped ornamental display piece; each of the mannequins is dressed in a differing style outfit; the mannequin on the left is wearing a knee-length, short sleeve, scoop neck dress, with ornamental belt. The center mannequin is dressed in a dark colored knee-length skirt with cardigan, and embellished belt. The mannequin on the far right is dressed in a knee-length skirt, three-button top, and cardigan; mannequin busts also feature individual clothing pieces. Affixed to the rear of the display is an enlarged cover of 'Glamour' magazine which reads, "Career Issue, Fall Shopping, September 1946." Signage in the center of the display reads, "The Enlightened State of New Jersey, Wool Jersey without Bulk, Molded into Wonderful Fashions, Casual Shop… Sports Apparel, Fifth and Sixth Floors." The date, and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "9-19-46; 22559-8x."
