Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies suiting available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins are featured in the display, and each is dressed in a new style of suit. Featured on the right mannequin is a dark colored suit with a calf-length skirt, and button down suit coat with light-colored piping, cut away detailing and long sleeves. The left mannequin features a two tone suit with a dark colored calf-length skirt, and light colored jacket with a notched collar, pocket detailing and two button closure. Each of the mannequins also features headwear, gloves, jewelry, and footwear. Displayed on the platform in the left side of the window are ladies accessories which include gloves, jewelry, a printed scarf and umbrella. Signage in the left foreground reads, "Lithe and Long, New Look, New Suit Silhouette for Spring, Suit Shop - Sixth Floor, Grand River." The date, photographic sequence number, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "1-14-47; 22729-4x; Davis B. Hillmer."
