Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies dress fabrics available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin stands leaning backward toward the upper portion of a clock, dressed in a floral patterned calf-length dress, cinched at the waist with a belt, and features key-hole detailing at the neckline. The same patterned fabric, as the dress is composed from is draped from the ceiling, onto the clock, and on to the floor. A small sign noting the McCall dress pattern is on the floor left of the mannequin; also, signage is affixed to the hands of the clock and reads, "Miss Helen Bowles, McCall Stylist, Will Discuss Your Sewing Problems, Consultation Hours 10:30 to 12:30… 2:30 to 4:30, Monday through Saturday, Mannequins Will Model Every day, 11 to 4:30." The largest piece of signage is visible in the central foreground and reads, "Ameritex Does Around the Clock Cotton, Play, work or dream in… Ameritex Cottons, Washable; Hold Stitches; Resist wear, Caliquettes_$1.19 yard, Cotton Fabric, 3rd Floor, Woodward." The date, photographic sequence number, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "3-18-47; 22779-2x; Davis B. Hillmer."
