Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies summer dresses available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Company Department Store. Three female mannequins, and a young girl mannequin stand in the window, each adorned in a differing style of summer dress, the ladies dressed feature A-line skirts, waists cinched with belts, and either a ruffled top, or button down front with collar. The young girl in the right background is wearing a knee-length dress, and ruffled top. An enlarged cover of 'Good Housekeeping' magazine is affixed to the rear of the display and includes signage which reads, "Featured in the Summer Dress Shop, Good Housekeeping's Facts-First Fashions, Cotton for Tots, Teens, Juniors, and Misses, Summer Dress Shop, Sixth Floor - Grand River." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "5-5-48; 23571-5x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
