Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring several differing styles of ladies suit fashions available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Six female mannequins each feature ladies suiting, which include straight or box-pleated skirts, and jackets with button-front enclosures and notched collars; many of the mannequins also feature ladies accessories including hats, handbags, fur-trimmed collars and stoles, gloves, and jewelry. Glittery stars are affixed to the display panels in the rear of the window with signage which reads, "Hudson's and Vogue See Fashion Stars… Fashion Stars Staying In… Muted Color Suits in Lustrious Broadcloth, Suit Shop, Sixth Floor, Grand River." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "8-31-48; 23693-3x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
