Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies casual dresses available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins are featured on the left and right sides of the window display, the right mannequin is featured in a plaid dress with a button-front bodice, and collar; whereas the left mannequin is featured in a striped suit with an A-line skirt, button front, belt-cinched waist jacket with pocket detailing. Displayed amongst the mannequins are similar styles of dresses and suiting; affixed in the background is an over-sized advertisement for the featured pieces, "As Seen in Glamour" magazine. Signage in the center of the display reads, "New Fall Dresses and Suit Dresses for the Girl with a Job, Designed in Plant Wools by Majestic, Inexpensive Casual Shop, Sixth Floor, Farmer." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "9-10-48; 23699-x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
