Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies fashions and housewares available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin, standing on the right side of the display is dressed in a dark suit with an A-line ankle-length skirt, and back with leopard print detail on the pockets and collar. The mannequin stands on plush carpeting, surrounded by geometric walls, and a buffet which features crystal candelabras; a framed portrait of a woman is featured on the wall atop the buffet. Signage in the left foreground reads, "Hudson's and House & Garden Say… Live as well as you look, Indulge your flair for the dramatic but let your taste pervade your while scheme of living, our entrance hall says, 'welcome' (and very smartly, we think), Studio of Interior Decoration, 8th Floor, Woodward… Section E." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "10-10-49; 23920-16x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
