Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies fashions available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins are featured in day to evening dresses, including an argyle print dress, with floral detail at waist, and an A-line skirt, with blouse, embellished belt, and bolero jacket. Signage affixed to the partition reads, "Hudson's and Vogue Advocate the Black and White Idea for Spring through Summer, Freer, Bolder, Cleaner, Clearer. Something new to think about, Green Room and Gown Salon, In the Woodward Shops - 7th Floor… Section E." Ladies accessories are featured on the mannequins as well as in a display on the left side of the display, and include footwear, handbags, gloves, and hats; accompanying signage reads, "The Black and White Idea in Accessories, Whites You Might Add to Black, Blacks You Might Add to White, or Black and White, Accessories, First and 7th Floors." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "4-17-50; 24027-3x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
